1. No God-modding/Omnisciency/Metagaming- Just as you don't know what I look like, you cant know whether I'm Hispanic, Caucasian, African or Oriental. In the same way, you cannot magically know that a certain event took place or that a certain person who is famous only in the underground of a single, small, isolated region when you come from the other side of the world. You would have needed to have been told in character by other player characters.
2. Make your posts as descriptive and creative as you can.. Make your words into a visual picture that appeals to your readers. I understand sometimes that when you write something down, it makes all the sense in the world to you but, often, no one but you really comprehends what you mean.
3. If you can, refrain from mature topics. References are okay, but don't actually roleplaying that stuff out. Anyways, it's better if you don't even think about that stuff while you're on this site.
4. Your character can only be in one place at any one time. Unless they can duplicate themselves, which is extremely unlikely, unless you are a mage with an ability which allows you to split yourself into two or more people. And, that wouldn't be allowed anyways. OR if you specify it in the first post of your thread that it happens before or after another thread you are in at the same time. This is only allowed for Social or Private No Killing threads. While your character is in a thread where he or she could die, you cannot have a thread that happens after it in the timeline.
5. Post paragraphs, not sentences.
We understand that it might be hard for new RPers to use a lot of words in their posts, but you should be able to write more than just two sentences. We expect you to write about 50 words per post at least.
6. Third Person, Past Tense
In RPs we write in third person and in a past tense. "Seijin was the master. He picked up the sword he had dropped earlier and ate it." Like that.
7. Post order and time limit.
When making a thread that involves more than two persons, you need to establish a post order. An order that determines who goes first, second, etc. Everyon needs to follow that order and wait for the others to reply. However, if a member fails to reply within 24 others, without warning the others that he or she would not be able to post within the time limit, that member's turn will be skipped. Also, no double posting. Wait for other people to reply before you post again.
8. If it's not your business, stay out of it.
Sometimes people tend to get involved in things they should not. Applications for example. Only Moderators and Administrators should reply and comment on applications in the threads themselves. If you wish to help new members out, send them your comments in a private message.
